Oops!

Oops! explores the relationship between realism and abstraction. Made with a highly detailed photorealistic technique, it depicts a subject that looks abstract, and asks the viewer to question what they are looking at. People often find their own shapes or stories in it. The subject is simple: a single drop of red and pink paint mixing after it falls from a painter’s palette. The title refers to that accidental moment. It catches the spontaneity of an unexpected mistake — the instinctive “oops” — and, through the contrast between technical precision and an everyday accident, turns an ordinary moment into something worth closer looking.
