Gazvani Art
Ayşe Gazvani is a contemporary abstract artist based in Copenhagen. She works in acrylic with layered texture and strong colour. She began painting while studying aesthetics and media pedagogy at Copenhagen Pedagogical University, and later completed a Master of Arts.
Her paintings deal with empathy, connection and inner life. Colour and surface do the talking. She does not attach a fixed reading to a work. Collectors in Europe hold her pieces. Solo exhibitions include Nørrebro Library in Copenhagen, Velux in Denmark, Bonart Art Gallery in Istanbul, and Carmel-by-the-Sea in the United States.
Group exhibitions and fairs include ArtExpo New York, Galería Azur New York and Miami, Galerie Le Chien d’Or in Canada, Nicoleta Gallery in Berlin, Thomson Gallery in Switzerland, the Dominique Zinkpè International Showcase in France, and Art Nordic in Denmark.
She paints so the work can be met directly — a surface for feeling rather than a text to decode. The work ships from Denmark.
